- You MUST have a webpage, no page no dragon. No MSN Group, Neopets, other such pages are accepted. I also accept reserves. However, I do not accept links to index pages of every character you have ever written. I need the precise URL of page for the character you are sending.
- I accept pretty much anyone to Impress a dragon; Pernese, Alskyrian, Danachian, dragons, gryphons, possessed furniture, etc. If you can ride/fly with and properly (or can find someone who can help) care for your dragon, you can stand. On some occasions, depending on the kind of dragon clutching, I may allow sponsors. Be assured that on these occasions it will be clearly posted that sponsorships are allowed. If it doesn't say "sponsorships" anywhere on the Sands page, they aren't being allowed for that clutch.
- Searchriders are not required to get your candidate from their home to this weyr, but if you would like to use one, the DIW searchers are located here. Of course you can also use any of your own riders, or almost any of my own characters on my Char Listing page.
- I will allow swearing in-story, in a reasonable sense. Basically, as long as every other word written is not a curse word, it's fine. For adult situations, large amounts of violence or gore, so on, a warning is expected to be placed at the beginning of such stories.
- DO NOT alter the dragon images in ANY WAY! They are made by Weyrwoman Xalia of Tripaldi Weyr. I keep an eye on how these images are treated and if I see any wrongdoing, you will be banned from ever Impressing a dragon at this weyr, your dragon will be considered Abandoned, and I will inform the other Weyrleaders of your activities.
- Please make your page readable, no neon backgrounds or bright fonts. I don't really care how many pets your candidate has, as long as you don't try to cram all the images on one page. Want them to have a herd of horses, along with their own personal flock of flitters/llithra/other small flying pet? No problem! As long as I don't find the poor creatures all stuffed onto the same page along with the story. Also, be sure that the creators of your mass of pets are properly linked and/or credited. I do check these things.
- NO COPIED PAGES!!! If you page appears to be copied, then I will notify you, temporarily reject it and look into the matter.
- I really don't think there needs to be a set-in-stone age limit, most people know that a child cannot care for a hatching or be mature when the dragon is, nor will an elderly person be able to cope with a rising dragon. I trust your judgment on this.
- There is no limit on candidates you can send in, within reason (don't send in 6 candidates for a 10 egg clutch).
- Put a link back to this weyr with your story, http://dracosinfernoweyr.freehostia.com/frame.html
- There are 2 stages, hatchling and adult. You'll get each new image at most when the next clutch hatches. There is no limit to when you get the hatchling image up, but once you get the adult, you have two weeks to at least have both images on the candidates page! Please attempt to notify me if you are having issues getting your dragon up on time, I really don't want to abandon dragons if I don't have to.
- Please join the Nexus Board, I post the majority of my clutch updates there. Of course, you can also e-mail me at visit.the.inferno @ gmail.com
- As DIW seems to be becoming less and less "traditional", it will be more common for cross-gender impressions, maybe double-impressions and things like that. If you specifically do not want such a bonding, please let me know in your form. Also, males are no longer required to elide their names upon Impression. If you do not include an elided name with your male, I will assume you do not want it elided.
- If you are sending more than one candidate in and they are the same gender, you can send them both in the same form. Please make SURE you emphasize that there are MULTIPLE candidates! If they are different genders, please send two separate forms so I don't get them confused.
- I am pretty good about checking my e-mail every day, so if a week passes and your candidate has not been listed on the sands, feel free to e-mail me again to make sure I have received it.
