Welcome to the new home of Draco's Inferno Weyr. With geocities' closing, we've moved to freehostia. The entire weyr site should now be moved over, I've clicked on all my links and made sure but if you happen across a page that still locates to the geocities site or gives you a 404, please let me know.

In other news, I've finally gotten around to getting the records up for Mero's clutch. There's no official deadline set to get your hatchlings up but I will begin to set one come June or July, so just be aware.

Viaulysath's clutch still needs about 5 or so candidates, I've also updated the sands page with those I've received. If you don't see one you know you sent me, please resubmit it!

Flying on the back of a great blue dragon, you look down at a bustling weyr, built in the open mouth of a long extinct volcano. The dragon's rider, B'wen turns and yells, "Hold on, we're about to land!"

As Tuzuth bugles to the brown watchdragon and the dragon bellows back, you notice their breath curling in front of them and huddle down in your own coat against the frigid air. When Tuzuth lands, B'wen slides off and turns to help you down. When you land, you stumble slightly, uneasy on land after being on a dragon for so long. "Thank you!" you call to B'wen who is taking off again. Looking around, you see alot of metal work adorning various entrances in the weyr. Two highly polished gryphon-like statues guard either side of the front entrance, each holds a large gleaming green jewel in it's outstretched fore-paw. Above it, a large metal ring has a dragon set with many small blue pieces of stone twined around it. The dragon seems to be glaring down at the passer-by with a scrutinizing gaze from it's high perch.

"Hullo." says a congeinal voice from behind, startling you. Turning, you see a young man stroking a small brown firelizard. "Is there anything I can help you with?" Taking a second to calm down, you ask about all the metal decoration you see around. "Oh, Draco's Inferno is widely known for it's metallurgy. It's got part of it's name from the fires the blacksmith's always have going. The other part is from the terran constellation Draco, a dragon in the sky. Here in the mountain we mine wagon-loads of ore and precious metals, as well as a few precious stones." Nodding, you see the various blacksmith stalls hard at work churning out weapons, jewelry, and other bits and bobs of metal. "You should check out the swords we make here, said to be the strongest on all of Pern." The man smiles and heads off into the weyr, leaving you to explore on your own.
