A new place again? All we ever do is hop from weyr to caer to dragonry and all around this place. Where are we going to settle? Grouith, being an instinctually territorial dragon, harboured a great hatred for his bond's constant searching. The blue granite knew what his rider was looking for, and understood Rølvaag's own instinct to find his family and guardmates again. It was still difficult for him to uproot every month or so.
"I'm sorry Grou', but I know that one of them is at this Darkling Dawn place. I know it! I've heard people saying that another of them had even clutched there not long ago." Grouith whuffed, tiny splashes of red mixing with the blue of his eyes. Only... only if we can strike a deal. There was a mischievous glint to the beast's eyes now, and he lowered his head to be even with the frantically packing bear-shifter. "What would that be?" Rolvaag was the son of a bear who was practically royalty, he knew how to negotiate (even if his skills were rusty due to his normal "kill first and forget everything else" attitude). I wish to chase. Every time we move somewhere else, I miss risings and flights. I will take you to this new place, only if we can stay long enough for me to chase at least one female.
The bear-shifter nearly laughed aloud. "That is all? You must tell me these things Grou'! I would have let you chase months ago if I knew that was what was making you so unsettled. Of course, my dragon. We will stay and let you chase whatever female may so capture your heart." Warbling with delight, Grouith swept Rolvaag onto his back. Then we will make haste to Darkling Dawn!
It only took the blue granite five minutes after they had exited between to decide what dragoness he wanted to chase. A beautiful gold-striped green was sunning herself, her glow rivalling the sun itself for brightness. Bugling aloud, Grouith fairly danced in the sky in joy. Her name is Kakanorii, and it is she who I will chase! he announced for all to hear. All his noise-making drew the gaze of the lounging dragons, among them a black geperna who thought he recognized the rider. Tell me, Dramoro... did one of your guardmates happen to bond a blue dragon of some sort? the midnight sent to his rider. "Two of them, why?" Because I think one has stopped for a visit...
