Personality:	Koufu takes his work seriously, seeing as many lives are defendant on his awareness. He goes ahead of miners in the mines around the weyr, keeping an "ear" out for dangerous faults or hidden pockets of superheated gas - a real problem in the geothermic fields around the weyr. He also helps nudge them toward where he thinks they'll find veins of valuable ores or gems. He takes great pride in his work, knowing that the miner's livelihood and very lives could very much depend on him. Outside of work he's rather shy, even toward the men and women he works with all day. They do their best to coax him out of his shell by inviting him for dinner and drinks, but Koufu is a tough-shelled guy. Only his girls know how he acts when he lets his guard down.

Personality:	Shin and Momo are Koufu's girls. They're his best friends, his closest confidants, and his greatest champions. They'd follow him to the ends of Pern, and vice-versa. Koufu found them when they were very young and raised them as his own children. He doesn't like for them to come with him into the mines, he'd rather they go play and enjoy being in the sunshine rather than down a hole in the ground, but they always follow him when he goes off to work. They're pretty handy when it comes to squeezing into tight crevices and corners that Kou' can't, but he hates letting them out of his site. Shin and Momo are both bright and inquisitive, they always have to explore any dark, unknown cavern before anyone else. They worry Kou' to death with their antics, so much that his fins would go grey (if they weren't already.) One is never seen without the other far behind, and they're never seen more than a few paces from Kou'.
