He'd come as soon as he'd heard, the horror of it all. One of his own children, abandoned. Well, Taamith couldn't let that stand. His own bond was still away at the Fur & Feather's Frenzy, but had asked for Taamith to come bring her home. It was in preparation for this that he heard about it.

At Darkling Dawn, Taamith approached the Abandoned sands delicately. The overwhelming air of despair and loss tore at his heart, and the very thought that his own offspring had had to endure such pain nearly ripped it out and threw it in the dirt. Come out, Soiuth. There was no movement from inside the dark cavern. Come out son, it's your father.

A dark blue dragon marked with white slowly stepped from the shadows, head down but eyes focused on Taamith. The black dragon winced at Soi's state, thin and weak from heartbreak. Son, what happened? he asked, draping a wing over his taller but skinnier son. I... don't know. It went so fast. One morning I woke up and he was just gone... Soiuth trailed off sadly, eyes swirling slowly gray. But you're here now. Are you taking me away? Taa' nodded, Yes, we're going home. I must pick up Canti, but I will take you home first.

At first Soiuth had trouble taking to the air, but with his father's gentle encouragement he took to the sky. It was like his troubles were briefly washed away by the rush of the wind. He may have been broken, but he was not down yet. Taamith sent his son the image of snowy peaks and slowly rising steam that was Draco's Inferno and the pair went between.
