Settled boredly on her ledge, Epochith waited for Aislinn to awaken. She flicked a small pebble over the edge and sighed forlornly, watching as a shipment of heardbeasts arrived to replenish their dwindling stock. Sharding mountains, if we weren't so isolated our tithes would arrive sooner. she muttered moodily. "What's that?" came a sleepy voice from within the dark weyr. Hold tithes are arriving. I was just complaining about these wretched mountain ranges that wall us in. With a laugh, Aislinn joined her black-silver on the ledge. "I definitely don't envy them." she said, watching the herders guiding the rebellious creatures into the feeding grounds.
Swift poked her head out from the blankets and chirped sleepily. "It seems all you do is sleep now that you don't have to be a guard flit." Aislinn mused as she dressed. Aislinn, I wish to go to Abri. Epochith said suddenly, rising and stretching her shimmering wings. Blinking in surprise, she turned toward her dragon. "Can I ask what for?" Whuffling, Epochith said simply, You will see when we get there. Pack for a few days. Far too used to her dragon's mysterious ways, Aislinn packed and informed her wingleader that she was leaving. It unsettled her that he didn't seem too surprised at this. After taking to the air, Epochith got the coordinates from the watchdragon and went between.
Once over Abri, Aislinn was astounded by the mass of black and other dark dragons that seemed to be everywhere. She wondered why they were all there, maybe Abri specialized in dark-genetics or something. The answer came soon, for Epochith dropped her off infront of a sign-up table for a Midsummer Night's Dream flight. "What's this?" she asked her dragon. It is a frenzy-type flight only allowing dark and star-marked dragons to enter. I wish to fly in it, so that my children will all be dark. "Oh. So...wait, you're rising? Why didn't you tell me?" Aislinn demanded, gazing furiously up at her dragon. Do not be mad... the black-silver said gloomily, I knew you would find out soon enough. She dipped her head sadly, and Aislinn rushed to comfort her sensitive dragon. "I wasn't mad, love." she soothed. "Come, let's sign you up for this flight. Mayhap you'll find us someone to have fun with." Grinning wickedly at Epochith, Aislinn scanned the crowds, as if searching for a potential mate.
